Now Playing - Taeyang - Move feat. Teddy
Ohh man, so close to forgetting to post something this week.
This week I'm happily broke. Happily the proud owner of a new (yet to arrive) Fuji film 7s mini instax polaroid camera!
ON PHONE TO MY NO. 1 BBL :)

R for Revivial
Now Playing - TOP - Turn It Up Loud
Oh goooosh, so excited over this song!!
In any case I nearly forgot about a certain bet with someone where I have to update this blog regularly. Luckily I'm not THAT forgetful and staged a last minute revival! Hence, today's post name.
Can't say I haven't been busy for the last week or so with numerous work/dance/social commitments. This week has been pretty epic in terms of the hours gone into work, elevating from my usually 6 hours to personal best of 19 hours. Having completed my last shift for the week I have to say I really don't mind working/getting money, seeing as I tend to be working with people I get along with. But one downside to work this week has definately been having to parade around Shrek ears to promote "new product".
Please shoot me.
We, as unfortunate employee underlings of the big MacD's corporation empire, have to wear these radioactive rabbit mushroom ears for the parody and humiliation for the general public. Today in drive thru, I had 2 customers ask if they could purchase the ears. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?! YOU WANT TO WEAR SAID UGLY HEAD "DECORATIONS"? That to me is like ASKING for a public embarassment.
In other news, I've been out for the last few days, just chillin on the town.
Wednesday was dance, nil to that.
Thursday was pretty fun, dinner with a couple of arch friends + Matt Yeoh then, thanks to Chenny's facebook organisation skills, a kareoke (how DO you spell that?) night with uni friends. While checking out organiser's schweeet new camera and belting out some horrible notes was fun, I had the best time just downstairs chatting and chillin with my "arch family". While I did manage to make a fool of myself with my lack of observational skills and goldfish memory I really do find myself laughing alot in their presence.
Friday, after work was out to leedy hotel's THE ONE event with Kevin. Despite the EXTREMELY cold weather and initially getting lost on the roads it turned out to be a goooooood night out! We got in at about 8 and it wasn't so great then seeing as there weren't many people. Met up with Tim from CS where we all just chilled around until the music suddenly got really good. Gotta say, while my moves on the floor aren't great I saw some GOLD moves pulled out; some chick was holding onto the wall and looked like she was dying or being possessed by the god of bad dance moves. Was getting really hot so we left around 11 and played pool at Point 88 (becasue PB was full D:) until around for around half past. I'm rather proud how Team H member myself managed to steal the game with my (fluke) shot without my glasses (considering I missed the ball alot throughout the game)!!! SIGHT DEFICIENCY FTW!
Saturday mornign was full on shopping, me blowing about 2 week's pay on SALES <3 Seeing as it was rudely interrupted by dance I'm going back on tuesday to finish =) Have to admit I`m proof that retail therapy actually works. After insanely long dance practice, headed out with Tai & Alicia to Leedy to grab some jizzworthy pizza from Little Caesers <3 The place was packed but luckily thanks to our scouting and impeccable sixth sense of figuring out patrons on the brink of leaving the premises we managed to secured a table after about 20 minutes. It was so worth the wait though becasue the pizza was heavenly, especially the dessert pizza, yummmmm. Considered going out for a walk after dinner before we hit San Churros but it was wayyyyy too cold to even go far so we headed striaight and sipped out piping hot hot chocolate. Sooo good I swear especially on a cold evening, so much so that I managed to spill some fresh material from the archive of my embarassing moments previously untold. After loitering in Churros for abotu an hour we got the spontaneous urge to head out to Freo's Timezone and get some neoprints. Ahh, the high school memories =) Way home was prety epic thanks to me in the backseat laying down the remixes on Alicia's stereo, from repping it like Lil Jon to an epic rendition of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. FUN TIMES =)
So for now, I'm eagerly anticipating getting paid for this week's hours and dreading dance next week, stepped up to Tuesday Wednesday AND Saturday all day intensive =/

S for Settling
Now Playing - Train - Hey Soul Sister
I completely forgot about this blog for an extended amount of time I realise.
But now is a good time, although it may not be the most appropriate with folio due in less than a fortnight.
Having braved out 2009 as a year 12 immersed in study, art and dance, I`m surprised how much I've changed within a year. I was so unsure for the majority of the first half of the year about what I wanted to pursue in terms of higher education; yet with my subject selection (literature, art, calculus, applicable, physics and chemistry) it seems that architecture was a perfect match. I guess it clicked during exams after I realised how much I enjoyed art history that everything made sense. But then again, context was different, being surrounded by study art seemed like an escape from everything.
The reason I mention this is although now I am here studying architecture at UWA, I`m not so sure again. I love it, gaining an appreciation of design and the way something physical can affect the mental state of a person, but my progress in studio seems to indicate otherwise.
I admit, my discipline has definately declined. From being studious and having the pressure of TEE weighing down on me, the pace of university life has changed my priorities alot. I find that its "good", i`m experiencing a "social renaissance" for me, reconnecting with old friends and making many new ones. It's been an emotional roller coaster but I don't think I could ever regret it. I really appreciate how close I am to everyone in my course, especially our "family". And there is Alice, La'belle and Jackie who have been so importantly there for me when I've been in times of stress and pressure. I'm so grateful for their honesty and sympathy when I've been too biased to consider all perspectives. I realise there are names I`ve left off, but it doesn't mean I don't love them too <3 However there have been consequences; I've become much more distant towards my own family seeing as I've spending alot of time away from home. I spend alot more time at uni, work and just chilling with friends. I appreciate how much freedom I have now with my life, but there are still time management issues which I will probably never fully resolve. As well as that, I feel like my commitment to dance has also waned in that I've become tardy to classes and my enthusiasm is usually dogged by the constant sleep deprivation caused by late nights doing work, facebooking and general time wasting (spider solitaire ftw!).
Let's just take it slow for now and see where everything takes me?
