P is for Pace

Now Playing - Shake It - Big Bang

GONG XI FA CAI =)
(Before I forget, yah?)

Woo, It`s been a while since I last updated. School and hoemwork has taken over my life sadly.

I really think that today I`ll skip the Singapore thing and put it off until next time when I have the time.

These last few days I haven`t been up to much seeing as it`s pretty much a mix of stressing about the dinner dance, homework, year 11 in general, Chinese New Year and dance. Seriously gotta sort stuff out and take things a little slower.

Try Smiling - Daesung

Yup, Mlife pretty much sucks . I hear you asking; It`s CNY! Why does that suck?
Answer: Do you see anyone to celebrate that with? I mean I lvoe my family and all, but 15 days of celebration seems a bit much for 4 people who already ahve to live together =/

There are so many thigns on my mind lately to do with school. Chem, Physics, G&T, IC, Lit and Art I have to deal with the massive amount of homework across a broad selection of revision topics to get into the year. It`s crazy, theyfit revision of last year into a nutshell of 10 minutes. And I forgot all of that stuff >__<. I mean that alone is already killing me and now I have to deal with my friends and the dinner dance.

In the holidays before school started, there were countless dance rehersals and classes to make, and going out with a couple of friends.

I went to play badminton with Evie, Fel and Alice which kind of turned out kind of disastrous becauseof the fact we can`t play it for nuts and we ended up going on a day where there was a social club playing on the same day. After I went to the city with Fel cuz I had dance, it was surprisingly so myuch better than I was originally expecting seeing as before there was alot of tension and awkwardness because of the Devin-Evie thing. I still dunno what`s hppening since then, but meh...I hoep they work it out. Fel and I actually got on pretty well, so I was happy about that. Dance was a killer, spanning from 1:30 till 5pm without any breaks. I nearly died >__<

After that it was learning the fan dance and stuff, so hung out with Hui and La'Belle alot while learnign the dance. Luckily for me, school started then and I have to admit it wasn`t off to a great start.

그래도 좋아 - SeeYa

Orientation itself was okay, but me and Naomi kind of agreed it was just filled with Bethany.

After the weekend back on Monday though, She did a complete 180 on me and was ignoring me, preferring to hang out with Bethany. I mean, I was feeling pretty pissed off already because of the new classes; not beign in many classes with many people or havign certain teachers and stuff.

yes I`m moody liek that, but seriously, don`t do the 180 on me and then ignore me. I`ll just get pissed and hold a silly grudge on you =)

Well then I just hung out with Hoft which was pretty funny seeign as we were going completely psycho during physics making fun of the fact our teacher was playing a bobby pin when he had no hair, how he spits on the whiteboard to show us power or he was just GODDAMN FUNNY. I could rant on all day about him, but I won`t, just because he makes me tired. He talks for 50 mintues of the lesson on topics which have to relevance and actually teaches us in the last 15 minutes.

요즘 나는 - SeeYa & HongKi from FT Island <33

But mainly the first day wasn`t good just becasue of the whole Naomi-Bethany thing. Bethany was doing some major suck up seeing as Naomi foundher a date for the dinner dance. I don`t blame her. I would too. But Naomi grah!

Luckily I`ve gotton over it the last day or so because I just haven`t got time to be angry. There are sooo many other thigns that are worth stressing over than this.

Year 11 is way too different; it`s liek starting afresh all over again so I`m not comfortable yet.

To tell you the truth I can`t even begin to order my week because everythign is a blur.

Topics stressing me out;

Dance: Dance is slowly takign over my life. I have to learn new dances or perfect old onee and I haven`t had time to practice. I mean I could be practicing now but I seriously need a break from it all to get things in line. And I have good reason to worry seeign as my performance for CNY is tomorrow. Sorry social life; Cassii`s weekend is fully booked with CNY performances. But I have to admit I lvoe dance. I dunno whether it`s the dance that`s good or the people. I think it`s a combination of both though. When I hang out with Tai-Ling, Mushu, Hui, La'Belle etc, it`s just so fun. We go psycho like nothing else and feel good about it. It`s rather liberating?

How Gee - Big Bang

Dinner Dance: GAH!!! THIS IS KILLING MEEEEEE. I ahev everythign sorted except for a date. Which I might add is FREAKIGN COMPULSORY. jenn bailed out on me, which I already knew was a HUGE mistake. So I have to clear this one up soon. I think I`ll need Xue`s help on this one. Updates I will give.

Homework: OMG. SO MANY SUBJECTS. ALL of them give the same massive amounts of hoemwork or commitments. Physics is reading up on 3 chaters in a heavy ass book, Chem being a write ups on 2 experiments, IC - every class a new set of questions for hoemwork, G&T - same as IC, Art - Nudes o___O and a whole afternoon to appreciate them, drawing them, Lit; Can I just say the Archbishop of Canterbury in Shakespeare`s Henry V has wayyyy too much to say, a speech taking up 1 and a half pages. And I haven`t mentioned the volleybeall commitment or the fact that B&V actually requires you to pay attention this year.

Friends: They`ve been pretty sweet to me this year. I`m actually pretty content right now at this moment with how everythign is turnign out. I relaly don` care much for Naomi right now, seeign as I`m seeming to hang out alot more with Xue and Sophia not to mention Emma. And plus there haven`t been any fights so far. But I`m getting a bit annoyed at Rebecca...I donn`t know why. It`s really awkward with her becasue we don`t talk much but we have so many classes together and also she tags along with me alot. I can understand seeign as we hang out in the same gruop and all...but do I really need too, trying not to sound too much like a whiny bitch right now?

Chinese New Year: It`s nto so much of a worry, but it`s more of a busy thing. I loved goign otu with Theresa jie for dinner to catch upp on New Years Eve and receiving red packets and all, but my hoemwork is starting to suffer becasue of that. Don`t get me wrong, I ADORE Chiense New year, but the timing sucks. It`s really true abuot events coming in in waves and all. But my CNY is all dance this year. The thigns I do for my own personal satisfaction...sighhh.

This Fool - Wonder Girls

I`ve also been pretty tuned out lately, obsessing over so many new thigns.

I`m officially obsessed with crowns, earrings, pandas, ink, Daesung <3>

Gah, I don`t even knwo what to say now and it`s gettign late so I should go.

Sweet dreamx & night.

P is for Places cont.

Now Playing - Calfornia Dream (album) - SeeYa

Note: I won`t be posting the names of the songs today just because I`m only playing the album. Thumbs up for the Hongki-SeeYa duet track though <33

Today`s post is going to mostly about Shanghai =) Please excuse the cliched words I use to describe the places we visited. There are no words to describe them sometiems.

But quick to note: I CAN TAKE MY EARRINGS TODAY =) IT HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS!

Second Stop// Singapore ------> Shanghai continued.

The next day was touring of Shanghai, which was foggyand polluted, but still quite spectacular. We saw pretty muich all the touristy attraction places including the Bunt, Pearl Tower and those historical buildings which signify some sort of freedom struggle or domination. However I never quite understood these meanings seeing as the tour guide spoke Chinese (and I don`t). Also, there was that lakeside area which although was quite crowded but lovely all the same. Too many good memories from that =) In addition we visited this place with countless gardens. I swear it was like a maze of beautiful gardens which you seriosuly wouldn`t mind getting lost in. The architecture there was so nice, and it seemed to complement the gardnes itself in terms of the placing of windows or statues. It was as if I was in some sort of utopia. Pretty much impossible to describe it in words, so you`ll just have to go there yourselfs =P And shopping *awesome ^o^* That ngith we went spastic on a river cruise to see the Shanghai nightscape. I can easily say that Shanghai is FREEZING at night. But all the same it was sooo fun; the countless Titanic moments or face-pulling photo takings.

After that, the next 3-4 days were spent on gruelling dancing lessons in which one and a half dances were learnt but not sustained without muscle pains from overworking (Yes we worked our butts off just to learn them. Think 5 hours a day) or bruises from awkward positions (Note: The beginning pose of Kang Ding LIULIULIULIU). Kang ding at the time, a mdoern Tibetan dance is one of the most energetic dances I have ever known to exist in the (not very long) history of my dancing life. Arched backs, falling down to become rivers from mountains or beign stepped on as a rock, all very dear but painful memories. I only sympathise for La'Belle who had to learn the whole dance that we worked our butts of to learn in only a couple of short hours, seeing as she arrived late. Mou Tong, a very artistic modern dance used fans to represent calligraphy brushes and swords was a hard dance which to now I don`t think is perfected. I think of all the dances, Mou Tong took the longest to learn due to the complicated sequences and problem between the choreographers. I still think it is the most beautiful ( I get a little solo in it!)

Nights were spent goign spastic at hot guys in magazines (Read: GDRAGON AND SEUNGRI<333333333)>
Lucky for me Hui went even more spastic than me, I won`t even attempt tp describe 5+ bags 6+ jeans 5+ pairs of shoes and that Pocky and Pejoy quest resulting in 11 boxes of different flavours. The Pocky range in Shanghai is DELICIOUS.

Ahh...the times YAY.

Luckily we took a break and went to Hangzhou for an overnight tour. Hangzhou is probably one of the most beautiful and greenest cities I have seen, depsite being in China. There were so many parks and trees, I was almost mistaken it was a tad like Perth minus the freezing temperatures. It was funny to see washign being hung in the most odd places while in Hangzhou; light posts, power lines, trees, you name it, it was probably used as a washing area. Althouhg the oddness of this, it didn`t distract is from seeign the sights. We first off went to go see the temples which were near the Lake. These is one of those places which you think you are truly transported to another world. It was so scenic and beautful, not even photos can capture the serenity or the zen peaceful atmosphere which surrounds the place. The onyl bad thing that I have to comment on Hangzhou is the poverty which exist and also the tourists which like us were loud and boisterous, trampling over attractions or somethign liek that. Later we took a boat around the lake, travellign around the islandy thignys in the middle which although we didn`t land on,looked albsolutely beautiful. Next it was off to another park area which was looked like we stepped straight into a paradise. You know in those dramas where they go to think beautful park and witness a sunset or somethign cliche like that? Yeah well this place was like that. It was like a paradise, I thought I was dreaming. And as we were leaving it was sunset, and I suppose I got to witness one of those cliche sunsets =).

That night we went shopping in which shopping was tanfastic as usual =DD

Next day we went to some sort of historical park which had monk carvings of Buddha and other religious stsatues there. It was so nice but kind of spooky at the same time. Then it was back into the van and driving 6 hours back to Shanghai. This was an amusign time, especially as me and L'Belle got bored and started doign insane thigns (See: Trying to fit fists into mouths and other assorted impossible things)

The next few days were again a whole lot of ass aches and bruises (Luckily, I seem to be the only person unscathed by the Bruise monster) learning all the dances. I must say I LOVE the Mongolian dance. It has so much feelign in it, it really re-energised me everytime we practised it. (WO AIIIIIIIIIIIIII NI, WO DEEEEEEE JIA) We met the dancers of the school troupe, who were lovely and HIGH. Not to mention TALENTED!! So niice. Also, we met the hairdressers; Broom hair, Jay Chou lookalike, Tony and the owners. Ah...the good times...and I got my hair cut awesoem during this time too! And Hui`s hair!! sighhh....so nice. Aggie got sexy curls which looked like permanent beach hair, Mel&&Mushu got streaks and I think it was safe to say that everyone got somethign done while we were there. THEY LAYER WITH NORMAL SCISSORS! NOT LAYERING THINGYS! Also, nearly forgot to mention the romance in the hairdressers. Ahh!! The day when Hui and Tony hooked up was sooo cute. Me and La'Belle were beign spastic again and cunnignly set them up =) And later that nigth was was us and Mel who replayed it out to those who missed out, but not before faking being tired and lost to the security guard who looked prett convinced and let us in at 12;30 in the morning.

Sigh and the costumes arrived the day before the performance. I will not mention tat I tripped up constantly in the long skirt and boiots or got strangled by the braids of the LIULIULIULIU dance. THAT day was a stress. Porbably one of my least favourite days fo the trip. But the Mongolian costume was pretty =)

The last day of our stay was spent more or less trying to practise in costume for the eprformance that night or packing. It was kinda sad and solemn in a sense. The performance itself went pretty well. We perfromed Kang Ding, Mongolian aand our Bollywood dance. Mou Tong wasn`t up to scratch so we didn`t do that one. Saw Latin boy strut his stuff was was wow. Also, this girl did an amazing peacock dance, coming out of 5 fast spins unfazed. It was then all photos and goodbyes. Yess goodbye to the teacehrs, the Xin Zhong school, the students, the danceroom with the mirrors and pretty windows and the high bars, BYE.

On the day of our departure, Jennie, Aunt Anita, Shy, Viv and Aggie left int he early hours of the morning so it was pretty much just La'Belle, Mel, Mushu, Hui and me who were left. We went down to the hairdressers one last time and left Hui there to spend time with her beloved Tony after La'Belle finished getting her hair styled. It was then back to gloomyland and doing not much. Hui and Tony came to visit us and we lcked them away to do whatever lovestruck people liek those two do in their freetime. It was really sad to see them have to leave each other later when we had to leave. Everythign from there back to Singapore just seemd so sad.

I think that everything about the trip was good, only a couple of hiccups (Beign lectured for somethign not done by me) or a certain person which I did not enjoy the company of. I think it`s definately something that I would go through again. There are countless memories which I will treasure (read that gorilla dance or asian gone inwards, awkward sit ups or OMG-IT`S-LEEHOM-ON-THE-TV.)

I`ll end the Shanghai here and so it`s Singapore next time =)

-------------------

I`m sorry I haven`t really updated much, but I suppose Perth is THAT broign that I ahven`t got anythign to say. The lkast few days have just been loungign aroudn at home beign addicted to Friends and That 70s Show. I did go to Evie`s house yesterday and met up with her and Alice to catch up; watchign xxxHolic, Russell Peters, NigaHiga and his Stink people rantings or the self DIY Emo or Gangsta vids togteher. It was fun. Evie is still that cute girl into anime and really obsessed with lolita now; which prompted us all to try our own hand at dressmaking. Alice looks tanfastic now, she`s got a cute and quirky sense of style; awesoem hair and cute dressing style. I`m so jealous >__< yay =")">

I think that`s about all the updating there is, so I had better get going. This blgo postign has taken over an hour towrite >__<>

P stands for Places

Now Playing - Talk Play Love - Anyband

Quick in, Jo got her P's!!! Applause please!

Anyway, here`s the next installment on my trip as promised before.

First Stop// Perth ------> Singapore

Let`s first say the trip wasn't off the best of starts when my parents decided to try out Tiger Airways. owever enthusiastic I was at the time, I think many would have their spirits dampened with the experience with Tiger.

I came out of that plane with a lot more patience than I ever imagined.

So, let`s get down to the actual bagging of Tiger. First of all, there was nothign to do. Now I`m not talking about the lack of entertaiment (I mean that`s what you get when you take a budget airline) but it was WAY too cramped to be able to do anything. Just stay in the same awkward position for 5 hours and pray you don`t get DVT. Next; the purchasing of services or food. Let`s just say they pretty much put a price on everything. This is the kind of situation I would not be surprised to find a toilet fee charged. And we havent' even considered the toilet paper charge either. Anyway, the service and product charges were just a tad overpriced too. Anyhow, the biggest problem was SPACE. And I mean the lack of. For people liek me who perhaps proportions aren't correct and have longer legs than normal, legroom space is essential. There was NO legroom space so it was hard to maintain a comfortable position, or even sleep. I was lucky to catch 10 minutes. So when I got off, tired, cramped and severely pissed off, I wasn`t entirely Miss Sunshine.

Thank God that was the only bad thing about Singapore. The weather was tolerable. I spent my days visiting relatives, shopping and eating. Did stuff like making an IC, go to the temple where my ancestors were (which really was quite awesome, however weird that sounds), meet Linus' Life group Churchie peoples (who were super nice), was intorduced to Audition and wacthed 'Enchanted.' The movie was cute, a little cliche but enjoying nevertheless. Even if the ending was a little disappointing. Think all the old time classic Disney movies mixed together. I also got to meet Joanne (Linus' cousin from the other side) and spent many good times with them both throughout the whole trip. Did I mention she has an awesome and cute dog named SDhino who was like a stalker? (o__O)

Second Stop// Singapore ------> Shanghai

The flight with SIA was wonderful. That`s all I can say. I would no complaints. Arriving at Shanghai airport, it was a challenge trying to find my fellow Chung Wah dancers. I also first experienced my first encounter with exotic Chinese food, this being turtle shell soup. I have nothign against this kind of cuisine, if it didn`t resemble a turtle. You could see the leg. Nuff said. When we all finally gathered minus La`belle, we being Aunt Anita, Jennie, Shy, Viv, Mel, Mushu, Aggie, Hui and myself, we headed off onto the bus towards Xin Zhong School. This proved to be a long and tiring journey becasue of traffic and when we finally reached, it was FREEZING. As we staggered up to the 3 floor with all our baggage into our hotel resembling rooms, we were all summoned for dinner. Dinner more like a 3 course meal! Everyone at the school was so accomodating and caring. Anyhow, back to the room and I managed already to break the closet door, made the fatal mistake of misjudging a bed and jumping on it only to find it was rock hard, out lil matching jackets and polos were handed out. Nifty =) Luckily Hui, my roomie buddy didn`t mind too much.

Right now, it`s really late And I will continue laters =)

P Stands for Passports

P stands for Passports

NOW PLAYING - Czardaz - Kiazz Brothers & Cuba Percussion

And I return back to Perth.

TA-DAH.

With overweight baggage, extra 6kgs of lovely food fat, an awesome haircut, Neopolitah the bearbag and a whole load of memories which come complementary with goodbyes.

I hate Goodbyes.
They are the worst thing.
Ever.

So today I will blog about today, and tomorrow I will blog about everything that has happened.

---------------------TODAY.

5:30 Wake up, as in eyes open groggily, and moan.

5:35 Sit up.

5:50 Swear and realise the time. Stumble out of bed and get dressed in the dark.

6:00 Rummage around last minute luggage.

6:20 Say goodbyes and start heading out the door.

6:30 (or so I think) Get picked up and head to airport Terminal 1 with Lino.

7:00 (ish) Arrive at Changi airport.

From here, I checked in the usual. Have excess baggage (2 or so kg, nothing too much) and attempted to take a picture with Lino. Did work because we stood there posing for about AGES while parents tried to figure out how to TAKE the picture. I dunno about anyone else, but I felt like an idiot because people were walking past staring. Not to mention in the hopeless attmpt to dress myself in the morning (see 5:50am) I put the shirt on inside out, causing me to wear my jacket throught the flight and out until I got home to change back properly.

Anyway, quick Skytrain to T3 and back. I think that T3 is a nice terminal. Even if they have an ugly feature wall. No offence.

I said bye to Anne-kuku and Uncle Ong and Daddy and Linus. Onto the adventure of an unaccompanied minor which I thought was going to be fun. Little did I know that everything from there was going to fall apart. Literally..

I Still Love Her - Teriyaki Boys feat. Kanye West

And during Immigration check points, my bag handle broke.
Yup, tht`s what I need. Lucky had a spare plastic bag that would take my heavy-assed bag. You don`t need to know that when I got home my other bag broke. Jeebers. I need to get more.

And then things from there got even worse, I RAN to my Gate which by the way is on the OTHER side of the terminal, which if I may add is a very long way. This is Changi airport we are talking about, if the bold didn`t scream CHINESE at you.

And I ran. Because I thought I was going to miss the plane.

My flight was at 9:00am. My phone was reading 8:45am

See, Perth time is one hour ahead of Singapore time due to Daylight Savings. My dad`s phone clock is set in Perth Time. Flight time in Singapore time. See 'le connexion?"

And so I arrived very early, so early the gate wasn`t even open.

When I finally got into the holding room place, my bag was so heavy that the lady assumed that I had a laptop. I very obligingly lied. =)

Yes I have a laptop. A laptop made out of MAGAZINES AND STATIONERY.

Sapphire Blue - Super Junior

Anyhows, I attempted to call Pris and Fel. If you guys are reading which I very much doubt because not many people know abut my blog (THANK GOODNESS); I TRIED TO CALL YOU GUYS SO MANY TIMES!!!

By chance, some mum of a girl who I used to dance at Chinese School with recognised me and apparently we were catching the same flight?

And me being me got distracted with my music missed my call for seating. (=____=") I got seated at the very back of the plane next to a woman who had BO issues and was kind of fragile. As in she got sick real easy and was really scarily quiet.

The plane ride was horrific. Not as horrific as Tiger Airways, but still bad.

The service was bull. I got ONE drink during the WHOLE flight (5 hours), therfore extremely dehydrated. The hostesses were not hostesses, but more like loud sheilas. Not rude, but loud and very unaccomodating.

Because Of You (Remix) - Neyo feat. Joe Budden

The food, was to say the least was indigestable. The smell was okay, the presentation was a vomit green pasta with peas and "fetta cheese" accompanied by a "thai salad" which tasted very un-Thai. I didn`t eat much. Actually best said I didn`t eat it at all.

I had the bread roll and Cadbury chocolate with Ribena for lunch. Praise whoever invented bread. Yay for a banana later, and boo for service again. I missed out on ice-cream due to a light doze. I waited 10 minutes for a 'hostess' to pass by and ask for an ice-cream. 5 minutes rummaging she tells me she will check in another fridge because there are none left in that area. 10 minutes later another 'hostess' yell out 'WHO ORDERED THE ICE-CREAM?"

You`d think they'd have the decency to at least ask politely. Or maybe even deliver it in person, not apss it on to someone else who doesn`t know.

Oh and we haven`t even got to the 'TV thingy.'

You're My Endless Love - Super Junior

I didn`t even get to watch anything. The films are a bland pick of NOTHING and not even that. They lag BAAAAAD. To the point where it was everything; bland programme, tooo long to wait for it to load or play. It was uncomfortable. That was a bad flight.

Ahh, welcome to QANTAS.

Passed Customs etc. with not much of a hiccup and got picked up. Got home and basically mucked around.

I feel really bad cuz Yeema is doign EVERYTHING. She`s like a maid or somethign right now. I haven`t done one helpful thign today. She cooked, cleaned and everythign for me. I`ll do it tomorrow. Too depressed to do anything right now.

Right now my mood ain't good. From Shanghai and Singapore where everyday was filled with memories and good times to the hole that home is right now. I dunno, I just feel so hopeless and stuck into a routine.

Hold the Line - Jo PD feat. Brown Eyed Girls
Oh well, have to persevere until I get to go next time. Work hard. JIA YOU!

I miss everyone like crazy.

Special misses to Linus and Jo-Ann, you guys are the best =)
